The Shell jacket is authentic there are the markings on each side of the sleeves one in pen by hand and other stamped. The liner looks good but may have been added at some point. These jackets were used up into the Indian Wars this one say it 1858 -1863, the original dates of the time its first hit in style about the same time in Ohio and Kansas. First started fighting with the Rebel army. Its in remarkable shape there are small repairs and its missing one button. The Keli Hat is also authentic and falls into the same as I describe. Do too the visor I believe its more 1870s 80s and the pin is original to the hat. There little damage no moth bites and there great artifacts from our History.
