In terms of condition, this exceptionally rare wonderful old U. History volume is in generally good shape. The interior pages are mostly clean, bright, and readable. No major pen markings noted.

No large tears - a few small closed repaired edge tears and 2-3 narrow about 1 long edge chips that do not interfere with the text. Some moderate yellowing/tanning of pages from age.

As noted, the page edges are very rough-cut producing in sections mostly very small edge crumbling/chipping with occasional mild thumb crushing that barely come into the page. The primary damage is to the exterior cloth hardcover boards and spine, as shown: It is still entirely bound, but the spine is very soft/loose with hinges broke/slightly separating, and the surface and edges well rubbed, soiled, peeling, bumped, label torn, etc. But overall, this fabulous scarce limited edition historical book is in nice condition for the rarity and age being over 115 years old.
