Info: This one of a kind ointment pot was produced at Thomas Holloway's New York operation most likely around the time of the American Civil War. It probably ended up'gray' due to poor quality control as the color was part of the production process not due to age only though that may have affected it somewhat. For those who collect Holloway's Ointment jars this'One of a Kind' pot will certainly be a unique feature of your collection! Good overall condition for its age with original defects noted including mis-coloring and some spotting along with normal age crackling associated with ceramic pots of this era (See Photos).
