Extremely Rare Antique Knife from 1861 Memphis Novelty Works American Civil War
The Dexter Saloon-Wyatt Earp- C. After a few seasons Wyatt left after making it rich off of the local miners. Dexter Saloon was named after Dexter Creek. The saloon is no longer standing, but is recognized by a sign on the site it stood. First in this box is a 10 gamblers dirk. On the base of the knife it reads, "Memphis Novelty Works", the wood handle does have a crack in it. The handle is adorned with silver circles and all 4 card suites made out of Silver, diamonds, hearts, spades and clubs. There is no rust present. There are 3 betting chips which are made out of bone. Then you have 5 cards, King of clubs and diamonds, and the Queen of clubs, diamonds and spades. These cards are definitely hand painted.
Then there are 2 tarot cards as well , Lastly are 3 gamblers holdout cheats. I think these were used in the cuff of your shirt and they held cards in order to cheat.
