A tribute to a notable historic GAR Post in Lynn, Massachusetts. On July 4th, 1877, a 38th star was officially added to the US Flag to represent the entry within the previous 12 months of the state of Colorado. Exterior dimensions are about 46" x 31-1/4" (an impressive and easily framable size for display). The top and bottom edges are machine selvaged. The fly end is hemmed and the hoist end has a raw edge.
Attractive 6-7-6-6-7-6 "dancing star" pattern in the canton. Condition: Light surface soiling, staining.
Overall cracking to painted letters. Occasional minor holes / separations throughout. Old repair along hoist end.
Frayed hoist end with minor loss of edge of stars along the fray as seen in images. NOTE: This Flag ships loosely rolled.
