ANTIQUE NATIVE AMERICAN INDIAN ARTIFACT STONE AXE , TOMAHAWK, Macon County, Mo. This axe belonged to folks that came from the Elmer / Mercyville, Missouri area and lived nearly dead on a Native American campsite within a mile or so of the Chariton River. This axe measures appx 2" x 3" x 4.5.
Symmetrical in shape and very nice overall. No cultivation damage like so many that are found now with cuts and gouges.This axe shows signs of Indian use on the blade (cutting end) and top.
