The white woman has her hands resting on the shoulder of the woman in front of her. Since this was take in Indiana, they were free black men and women. I'm just tired of people stealing my images.
CAPTION: The photographer's mark on the back says "Gordon & Roth, photographers, Auburn, Ind". SIZE: 3.75 by 2.25 inches. CONDITION: The corners have been clipped. There is the remnant of paste on the edges where it was in a frame. There's also a light pencil mark that outlines the people in the back.
